My name is Andy Kiran Chettipally, but you can call me Andy! I am 21 years old and was born and raised in Burlingame, California.
I am a Psychology major, currently taking classes at Skyline College and College of San Mateo, as part of my journey to become a psychiatrist. Besides psychology, my interests include producing music and playing videogames.
My media preferences consist of videogames, television shows, movies and books (in that order, unfortunately).
I have a love-hate relationship with writing. As someone who finds face-to-face conversation to be the most accurate and representative manner of communication of my ideas, I find satisfaction in accomplishing a similar task in the form of writing. I am confident in my ability to comprehend and commentate on various topics through writing, but I find myself lacking when it comes to going over my work and editing it. I am one of the most impatient people I know, and this impatience can often impede on my willingness to proofread, or even read, my work before submission. Because of this impatience, I find the quality of my writing suffers, and I decided to try and make a change.
I am taking Writing for Mass Media because I want to sharpen my writing skills. I took this class as an opportunity to learn more about my strengths in writing and how to unlearn my weaknesses in writing. I hope to be more effective in my written work in this class.

It’s nice to meet you Andy. I also went to Skyline and CSM, so we have that in common. I’m hoping to earn my AA in Broadcast Digital Media before transferring to SFSU. I think it’s amazing you want to be a psychiatrist. I wish you all the luck in the world. I’m actually thinking of talking to somebody. Anyone you recommend in the Peninsula?
Anyways, I feel you on the love-hate relationship with writing. I feel the same way myself. I wish I could just write without any impediment but like you Snoopy picture demonstrates, good writing is hard.
Well, I’ll be sure to see you around online this semester. Good luck with your studies. Take care.
